Who and where we are

The FarWest Lapidary & Gem Society, Inc. was organized in 1962 devoted to the study of the Earth Sciences and the practice of the Lapidary Arts and related crafts in the Coos Bay / North Bend area of the state of Oregon of the United States. The Society is a member of the Northwest Federation of Mineralogical and Lapidary Societies, Inc (NFMS) which in turn is a member of the American Federation of Mineralogical Societies, the umbrella association for the seven regional federations in the United States

MEETINGS: meetings are held at 7:00 p.m. on the first & third Tuesday of each month (except December) at the Faith Lutheran Church, 2741 Sherman Ave., North Bend, OR. The meeting on the first Tuesday is a business meeting. The meeting on the third Tuesday is a social meeting.

WORK SHOPS: 2nd and 4th Tuesday each month at the Sherman address---5:30pm to 8:00pm?

DUES: Membership dues are $15 per year for one; $20 per year for a couple or family. Dues are due in December. (However you will do our treasurer a favor if you pay them in November.)
